Light Sensor-2 Intelligently adjusts the screen brightness to match the ambient light in a room, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience. Client more useful in 84 of 89 people found this review helpful. Can not "go wrong with SONY! SO - Buy it! A. Witkowski had my Sony KDL-40S3000 up for about a week and could not be happier! Amazon.com had by far the best price around considering that you get free shipping and pay no tax, and believe me I have sailed all the online sites and retail for over a month before my purchase. I am going to go plasma with Samsung, until I saw it in the store and hated the reflective black display and case and reading several bad reviews from customers. This Sony set has a sexy matte black and the screen is clear, glare-free lighting at all! Sony TV in my book are across the board the best blend of superior technology, proven durability and quality and elegant looks cool . My family has always owned Sony TV and I never even had one of their maintenance, some still in progress, is more than 20 years! But back to my new KDL-40S3000 ..... This is an audience favorite in every home! From now on there are no HDTV channels in 1080p, 1080i only, which this TV with 720p native resolution screens quickly, so I suggest you think about doing some of the Sony 1080p models that cost much more to the fact that because the majority are located outside of the channels of HD channels (1080i) on digital cable, and I believe even Satellite are still in the 480p format, as this is a TV with a screen resolution of 720p a cleaner, sharper image as a 1080p model. Bottom line ... if you have a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD and have a clearer picture will hardly recognizable, go with 720p, you save money and not sacrifice anything, trust me! As for features and sound quality, you are with what Sony brings the record to be overwhelmed. The menu options and settings are extensive but still fun with graphic Sony's shown, but the picture on the right side of the box is equally impressive, I'm a big fan of surround sound system, but so far I am very happy with the KDL-40S3000's clear and projecting sound quality, and I seriously question the poor remarks from other reviews about this set is a lack of sound. The audio / video inputs and outputs in this set are numerous and the 2 HDMI ports will meet the needs of most home users view, there are also two component jacks and various other lower quality connections. So finally, I would recommend the Sony KDL-40S3000 to any and everyone who wants to get into the flat market, hands down! Yes, Sony is a little more money than other brands of the same size, but you pay for superior quality, technology and design and not regret a penny of it! Set your price range, determine the size and viewing distance of your room and put Sony at the top of your shopping list Amazoncom for the best price on your flat screen TV! Good so far .... By T. Das has had this set of four days, and I'm very pleased. Pros - Great picture quality. They spend hours researching and comparing sets in the store. Could not find a better picture of 720p. 10-bit panel and Live color creation system (new in the S series for 2007) render the natural colors - Xcross navigation system easy to install and modify various settings - Finish and style is a very high quality. Compact size. I especially like the matte finish, reflecting nothing. Cons - only 2 HDMI inputs. May not be enough for some people. - Quite expensive (I think it's worth it, though). For those on a budget of small rooms, the model of last year (S2010) is to consider the quality of the images. Overall, very happy.
