This TV came right out in February, and is a no frills Sony Bravia. No LED backlight, no swivel, no internet apps, etc. Just one solid LCD TV with a big picture. I like it, like my two Panasonic plasma with the exception of the viewing angle. They are not bad, just not as good as plasma. The picture is great right out of the box. Nice and natural. Believe it or not, I could not really improve the picture quality, no matter how much I played with him. Ultimately, I lowered the saturation a couple of notches and changed the tone on a warm and that was it. I did not notice any motion blur, even if only at 60Hz. It is such a solid set that in this case I am reminded of the old adage, less is more really applies. At this price point that I "fully" recommend this TV. 13 of 14 people found the following review helpful. Was not sure it would work, by Robert A. Bimson I have a number of Sony products including XBR 52 "HD in my living room. I have a covered terrace which is open contiguous on two sides and I wanted to have one big screen add. This TV is Sony, with the lowest prices on the market right now in the wide 46 ". I was afraid it would not be bright enough together for an "outdoor". There are a lot brighter. In fact, I'm mitigated the brightness for aesthetic reasons, and I am very satisfied with the outcome. I can swim in my pool (30 meters) and watch the baseball play San Francisco Giants. My grill is about 25 meters and I can sit here and watch TV without any problems. The TV is on boarded a Sanus VMSA Silver Flat Wall w / Tilt / Swivel / Arm on an outside wall under the roof, so I can tilt or rotate in order to get maximum relief of reflections, depending on time of day. The image is typical Sony - excellent - all the features work very well, and I used my stereo sound that stands out in this TV replaced a 24 "Sony CRT that has been on the wall 6 I like the XBR my best, but. 46 "is all I wanted to be. An exceptional value. Amazon's price and 30 days return policy is key to my purchase, if the TV would not have been bright enough outdoors. The delivery was on time and everything was in excellent condition when received. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Best TV at this price!
